TWO WAY LCM BARS TO MAKE AT HOME

TWO WAY LCM BARS TO MAKE AT HOME

Hi team!

Hands down one of the easiest snacks you will ever make for your children. Much nicer on the hip pocket too. Both recipes are delish however the first recipe doesn’t enjoy living outside of the fridge for very long so keep that in mind.
Perfect party food, totally customizable decorations on top and a recipe that’s so easy you can even get your kids to do it.
Can’t promise they won’t mix the rice bubbles too fast resulting in them flying all over the bench. 😬

Let me know how you go!

The lighter version

5 cups of rice bubbles ⁣
2/3 cup runny honey⁣
1/2 cup liquid coconut oil⁣
Sprinkles or mini M&Ms for the top⁣

Line a deep slice tray (approx 30cm x 20cm) with baking paper. ⁣
Add rice bubbles, honey and coconut oil to a large bowl and mix well. You want all of the rice bubbles to be coated in liquid. ⁣

Pour mixture into your lined tray and press down firmly. Sprinkle with your desired toppings and use a glass cup to smoosh toppings securely on top. ⁣

Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before slicing in to rectangles. This recipe needs to be eaten chilled so more suitable for home snacks. ⁣

The sweeter version.

5 cups of rice bubbles⁣
1/3 cup of melted butter⁣
1 cup of marshmallows ⁣
Sprinkles or mini M&Ms for the top⁣

Line a deep slice tray (approx 30cm x 20cm) with baking paper. ⁣

Add butter and marshmallows to a saucepan and melt together on medium low heat. Stir until the mixture is smooth and runny. ⁣

Combine rice bubbles and melted ingredients in a large mixing bowl ensuring the rice bubbles get a good coating of gooeyness. I suggest a quick stir so it doesn’t cool down too much. The cooler it gets, the less pliable it becomes. ⁣

Pour mixture in to your prepared baking dish and press firmly down. Try to make it even and flat. Decorate as you wish and use a glass jar to press it all together. ⁣

Pop it in the fridge for at least 3 hours before chopping. This one is ok to be taken out of the house as it will stick together. Both will last for 7 days in the fridge but I guarantee it won’t last that long 🤤⁣
